The purpose of this informal workshop is to bring together researchers interested in clustering topics within the context of algorithm engineering. While the workshop is organized as an event of the DFG SPP 1307 Algorithm Engineering, it is in principle open to everybody.

The workshop takes place on November 24 and 25, 2009, at the Heinz-Nixdorf-Institute of the University of Paderborn. After several short presentations, open problem sessions take place, which are meant to constitute the main part of the workshop and to nurture collaborations among the participants.

Participants are free to give a short informal presentation of about 15-20 minutes, preferably including an open problem or pointing out further research. These presentations need to be registered with the organizers by submitting a short abstract by e-mail, see Important Dates for the deadline. In order to make this workshop as interesting and fruitful as possible, the topics should be chosen with respect to the algorithm engineering perspective of clustering.
